| Christina has been an active dancer since the age of two; she has experience in tap, jazz, ballet, modern, hip-hop, gymnastics, and acrobatics. She has studied at Kaye’s Dance Studio, Landrum, Love’s Dance Studio, and currently at Broadway Dance Center. Christina received her Associate degree in dance at Queensborough Community College and is currently going for her bachelor’s at Hunter College were she will be getting certified in Dance Education.
As a performer Christina competed in many dance competitions where she received gold medals for solos, duets and group pieces in the styles of jazz, tap (funk and classical), modern gymnastics, hip hop, and ballet. Christina has had the opportunity to perform at the Stony Brook Retirement home, numerous nursing homes, ”The Nutcracker” under Mr. Shumeikin, “George M” at the Flushing Town Hall, Six Flags, the grand opening of Target, and many street fairs in Maspeth.
Christina’s love for dance is shown not only as a performer but as a teacher. She has worked as a choreographer in Queensborough Community College and put together numerous pieces with fellow students for workshops. Christina has had the opportunity to work with the “IMTA” in California were she competed with others to get noticed by top agencies in categories of acting, modeling and dancing. While in California, Christina was recognized for choreography of her solo and won top ten in category. Throughout the past six years, Christina has been a dance instuctor in many studios throughout Queens and as a hip-hop aerobics instructor at Lucille Roberts.
Christina is very excited to be part of the Studio E dance program. She looks forward to being able to share her love and devotion of dance with others.
