Michelle has been dancing since the age of three, studying ballet, Pointe, Jazz, tap and Hip Hop for several years. She has been a teacher here at Studio E for the past five years. Michelle is a senior member of The Hunter College Dance Company, where she has received training in Contemporary dance technique, improvisation, composition, folk dance , West African, anatomy and kinesiology, as well as additional training in ballet. She has also taken composition and contemporary technical workshops with choreographers Neil Greenberg and Gwen Welliver as part of the Movement Research MELT Summer intensive, which she did through a scholarship from Hunter College. She is also involved in a lecture demonstration and touring group and performs at several high schools throughout the five boroughs particularly those which specialize in the performing arts.
Michelle’s style is uniquely her own, as she uses a fusion of all the many techniques she has acquired in her training. Her classes are high energy and exciting, bringing her wide range and variety of knowledge of dance styles to each particular one she teaches. |
